The Frankfurt based, Tritone Flowtech Group, which used to be a subsidiary of a flow tech system specialist and Trelleborg Automotive has set up a manufacturing plant on Indian soil. The facility is located in Chakan, near Pune, India.
The plant was inaugurated in the presence of some of the biggest names associated with the company, including, Guenter Froelich (CEO and President, Tristone Flowtech Group); Volker Butz (CFO, Tristone Flowtech Group); Kalpesh Pathak ( Head, Purchase, Flat Chrysler Automobiles); Shashank Raodeo (Head, SCM, Mahindra & Mahindra’s Chakan plant); Sachin Kulkarni (Head, Purchase, Volkswagen India) and Sanjay Pawar (Jaguar Land Rover India).
Guenter Froelich has told the media that the company plans on spending 2.5-3 million euros over the next 2 years according to the business orders.
However, the plant’s manufacturing operations will not begin until the final quarter of the next year. The company will be installing the required equipment and machinery until then. In the meantime, Tristone Flowtech’s team is looking to build some clientele.
The Chakan plant is the company’s 10th manufacturing plant across the world. It is now eyeing to penetrate into India’s growing automobile market. The company is a component supplier for three critical applications in the passenger car industry which are: air charge applications, fluid engine cooling systems and fluid battery cooling applications.
The CEO of the company claims to have been working for the past 15-20 months in the process developing their potential suppliers in the country. “The Indian passenger car industry is growing and is touted to be one of the largest markets in the world, and we wish to be a part of this growth story,” he said.
