Shikul Narula, the director of the company said, “We are extremely excited about launching Vismaya in India. After the success of Vismaya as a brand in the US and Europe, it was only natural for us to explore the Indian market.”

Keeping the latest trend amongst the people across the globe in mind, the products are hand crafted in India and are styled in Los Angeles.

The company will be offering a range of genuine pashmina and cashmere embroidered stoles along with a collection of elegantly crafted heirloom shawls, which will include antique kaanis, jamvars, soznis, kalamkaari and papier mâché.

The director of Vismaya US, Shivani Mehrotra stressed that the main aim of the brand is, “to preserve the heritage and age old skill of making shawls and are working towards minimising counterfeit products being sold in the market which discredits the hard work of artisans”.

The products will be made available on the company’s website, which currently is being worked upon.
