Blaupunkt, the Germany based consumer lifestyle and technology brand, has announced its plans to enter into the Indian mobile accessories market. The company’s future plans involves the introduction of smart watches, smartphones and phablets in Indian and the SAARC markets such as Bhutan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal. The brand is being launched via an exclusive licensing agreement won by New Delhi based Vidur and Co.
Blaupunkt is planning on releasing a accessories like wire Bluetooth earphones, earphones, wired headphones, data and charging cables, power banks, wall-mount chargers, car chargers, wireless charging dock etc. Moreover, the company plans on operating its own dedicated customer service centres in the country to cater to all the post-sales needs of a customer pertaining to the accessories sold.
The managing director, GIP Development / Blaupunkt, Andrzej Cebrat said, "India represents one of the fastest-growing mobile phone markets in the world today, having crossed a milestone of 1 billion mobile users this year. Beyond the numbers, Indian smartphone consumers are spending never-before time with their smartphones, fuelling demand for mobile accessories such as power supplies, earphones and data cables. We are excited to be present in this dynamic market. After the launch in India we are looking at entering other SAARC markets in the smart phones, smartwatches and phabletscategories through our partnership with Vidur & Co."
The products to be sold here have been customized according to the Indian conditions to enhance performance and durability. An extensive research was conducted by the company to understand the problems currently faced by the consumers during the use of mobile accessories in the country. The products such as the USB charging cables and earphones have been certified by Apple along with other certification bodies such as UL and RoHS.
